One morning recently we woke up to snow on the ground. The excitement in our apartment was evident as Zarina looked out the window and saw it. When it snows, it must be Christmas, right? That's what Zarina thought. Several weeks ago she had made cards for each of our family members for Christmas and hidden them. When she saw the snow, she thought surely Christmas had arrived! She proceeded to give everyone their special lovingly designed cards. The next thing on her list was to decorate a Christmas tree. Since Christmas is still two months away, we had to talk her out of that. Below is a picture of her with two of her cards.
How many of you have children who get excited about Christmas? Some of you may not live where you get snow for Christmas, but there are other things that get children excited about Christmas. Do they get excited about the lights, tree, and gifts?

Zarina and Alexander enjoyed trying to make some snowballs.
Zarina loves to go ice skating! She also enjoys spending time with Mommy.
When Ludmilla called and asked if we'd like to go ice skating with her, Zarina was thrilled.
Here she is trying to spin on the ice.
She has learned to skate pretty well.
